Hot n’ Toastie

About the project.
We have 2 products available for sale- soup and toasties. Our soup is a homemade vegetable soup that we make from very healthy ingredients. We also sell variety of toasted sandwiches:

• ham and cheese toasties
• ham toasties
• cheese toasties.

The main ingredients in our soup are - carrots, potato, leaks, onion, garlic

Where the idea came from.
Our idea not new, homemade soup and toasted sandwiches are sold every year by an enterprise group. We saw how popular it was and we thought it would be something that we would really enjoy doing as a group. There is always competition between Transition Year enterprise groups to see who gets their name down first for the soup and toasted sandwiches enterprise, so we were very lucky to get there first.

Who is involved in the project.
We are three friends who became close in our first year of secondary school. Our names are Emily Dooley, Katie Fay and Gaby Compton.. Katie is 15 years old and Gaby and Emily are 16 years old.

What the costs were.
Each week we are spending €50 - €60 euro on ingredients for our business. We spend this on fresh ingredients for our soup and fresh fillings for our toasties.

Who we hope to sell to.
Our target market is the students/ teachers and SNAS in our school. Our product is available for sale at lunch.

When and Where is it available for sell.
Our enterprise has been running since October and you can buy our product at lunch time on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in our school.

How customers can pay.
Customers can pay for our product using cash.
