Sarah and Rachel’s Bracelets

About Our Project

My Enterprise Idea and Background

The name of our enterprise is “Sarah and Rachel’s Bracelets”  and we are making handmade bracelets. For the last three years, I took part in the School Christmas Fair and sold bracelets that I made by hand.  These were a huge success. I sold them in the school hall and at the Strokestown markets.

This year, I am going to use the same beading as in previous years. However, I decided to improve on my idea by personalising the bracelets and use this new strategy and idea as my Enterprise project i.e. to sell both plain and personalised bracelets.

Both myself and my school friend Rachael will be making and selling the bracelets as partners together as a small group.

Marketing
We will market the bracelets in the school hall on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at lunch-time. We also hope to sell the product online and at the school Christmas markets. I have had my first prototype ready in early October. From this, I managed to make the finished product and have sold almost all of my stock.

Prototype
Initially, I made a prototype of a personalised bracelet for my sister and she liked it and has worn it a few times since. This gave me the opportunity to sample my product.

Product Type
There are two types of bracelets:-plain and personalised.

Sale Price
Each plain bracelet costs €3 and €4 with a name (personalised).
Customers pay for their bracelets with cash on collection.

Marketing of Product
The bracelets will be advertised on posters around the school and via social media.
